5 Tips for getting organized in 2021

1. Start Small

Don't take on too many projects at once! Organization is a practice not, a project. If all you have time for today is a drawer.. that's more than fine!

2. Set Manageable Goals

Similar to the first point, its important not to take on too much at once. You will only let yourself down in the long run.. set goals that work with your schedule.

3. Find a Home for Everything

this is the most important for KEEPING yourself organized. Like I said organizing is a practice, not a project. You should purge unwanted items, and make sure everything you hold on to has a place to "live". That's where step 4 comes in.

4. Give Yourself Some Space

No matter what size room or area you are organizing... make sure you give yourself some space. If there is not adequate storage, add some! Home Basics has tons of solutions for this, from shelving to cabinets, and everything in between!

5. Celebrate Your Success

Once you've met your goal, enjoy it before rushing off to the next thing! We rarely take time to appreciate our accomplishments before we begin our next task... sit back relax and enjoy the fruits of your labor (a nice clean organized space!). If cocktails are your thing.. make sure to check out our recipes!
